Is I am able to update my 0.8 version and after update can I play from same lavel

How do I update using Patch Notes? Can somebody teach me how to do it? My latest version is 0.8.2 and I want it to be version 0.9. Do I need to play at the beginning again or I can just continue where I left off at version 0.8.2?

This is the most beautifully done game ive seen in years. So much detailing man, amazing soundtrack, incredible storytelling, Bravo! I really hope you add more elves for sell and more scenes with the elves and can you remove the option of choosing the slave/love route for elfs that ruins the fun. It would been awesome if all the slaves story would have progressed like lin. when are you releasing the next update. (for Android)

How exactly do I continue all these stories? I already had done anything, or at least that what the message told me after I was in the boat with Lin. But I'm not getting anything new, do my old save from 0.8x doesn't work? Do I need to start from zero again? I don't want to lose 300 days ;(
